"Do you pack the right amount when you go on holiday?"

Holiday Packing

Almost everyone is familiar with the term 'everything but the kitchen sink', and following the latest Holiday Extras® poll, it is easy to see why. According to results, UK travellers have a tendency to over-pack when setting out on their holidays.

Approximately 58% of customers who responded after booking online with Holiday Extras admitted to packing too much for their trip away, while only 3% arrive at their destination with less than required. There are also those who judge the amount of luggage to take with them correctly, with 39% adequately prepared for the duration of their holiday.

Matthew Pack, web and marketing director at Holiday Extras, said: "I believe there is a fine line between packing too much and packing too little. As we can see from the results, people seem more inclined to travel with more than is required, perhaps as a means to avoid having to buy items when abroad if they arrive unprepared."

So how much should one pack when travelling abroad? Holiday Extras' website offers travel advice for holidaymakers, with a holiday checklist detailing how travellers should look to prepare in the period leading up to their holiday.
