A hotel you'll love at first sight
Courtyard by Marriott, London Gatwick Airport, is the first Gatwick hotel you see when pulling off the motorway. Its spectacular design around the titular courtyard means that the main features and amenities are within view most of the time; and there's a lot to see, whether you're watching your weight in the gym, spying on what's happening back at the office in the business centre or just surveilling your kids as they watch the planes and wonder at how they're seen and not heard - the planes that is, we can't guarantee the same with your kids.
The first hotel you see as you drive into Gatwick airport
The Courtyard by Marriott is hard to beat for sheer convenience. It's the first hotel you see as you come off the motorway and with valet parking, you just hand over your keys and check in. In the morning, it's just a few minutes on the transfer bus to the South terminal. If you're coming to Gatwick by car, this is the easiest, quickest place to park and spend the night.
Have been using Holiday Extras many times over many years and always been completely satisfied with the service provided. Score 9/10. Would have given the usual 10/10 but for a member of staff messing about with the car stereo and leaving a chocolate bar wrapper stuffed in the driver's door pocket.

An eye of the storm in the middle of a busy airport
You're so close to the runway that, from your soundproofed Marriott hotel room, you can see the planes take off and land, but just outside the front door, you can hear the birds singing in the trees. If you want peace and quiet, a stone's throw from the boarding gates, the Courtyard is the hotel for you. Built around an open-plan lobby with a skylit atrium, the hotel has a clean, modern feel and a good range of facilities for both leisure and business travellers. Overlooking the airport runway, the planes can be seen and not heard. Thanks to the hotel's highly-effective sound insulation, noise is kept to an absolute minimum in both bedrooms and communal areas.
We recommend the Courtyard by Marriott for:
Convenience - Easy to find by car and a short bus ride from the South terminal, the Courtyard makes an incredibly-convenient start to your journey.
Parking - Not only is it easy to drive up to the Courtyard, parking is simplicity itself with our Meet and Greet service. Guests can park outside the hotel during check-in, then hand over your keys to the parking team, so an insured driver can take it to a nearby secured car park for you.
Hearty eaters - The Marriott's Cow at the Airport restaurant has a generous breakfast buffet. Choose from healthy options or a traditional English breakfast, with extra items available to order a la carte. For dinner, choose from grills, light bites, substantial, modern British main courses or the international-style hot buffet. A bar menu is available from 10am, and if you're still hungry, room service is offered from noon to 10pm, with a selection of sandwiches and grills. Kids eat free (one child under 6 per paying adult, max two per group).
Comfort and style - Rooms are spacious and well designed, with incredibly-comfortable beds, flatscreen TVs and wifi access. Even rooms overlooking the runway won't be disturbed by planes as soundproofing keeps the noise out.

Plus there's an entire free-from section featuring dairy-free milk and yoghurts, and gluten-free cereal and bread. There's even a separate toaster to avoid contamination.
And if you're in a rush there are biodegradable takeaway coffee cups so you can grab a drink to go.
