Highlights and running all month
1. Festive Rod Stewart at the Normandy Hotel, Glasgow
We’re not sure how a Festive Rod Stewart differs from regular sort; rumour has it he’s served with cranberry sauce and occasionally wrapped in bacon. You’ll have to buy a ticket to find out for sure.

2. Comedy Night at the Sheraton Skyline, Heathrow airport
Make sure your holiday starts with lots of laughter by enjoying one of the Sheraton Skyline’s monthly comedy nights. Featuring some of the best comics from throughout the country, you can chortle the night away while sampling some of the hotels delicious cocktails.
3. Abba Mania at the Normany Hotel, Glasgow
Although the mercury might be dropping, there’s no reason you can’t heat up the dancefloor and boogie into the early hours. And what better way to throw some shapes than to the timeless hits of Scandinavian royalty - Abba! If you’re staying at the Glasgow Normandy, make sure to book your tickets.
4. Christmas parties, various airports
There’s much conjecture as to whether Christmas parties should be banned until December 1st, but we scoff at such humbuggery, and so do many airport hotels! Christmas shindigs begin around mid-November, with highlights ranging from festive themed 80s nights to yuletide bingo!
5. Ladies Who Lunch at the Aubrey Park, Luton
If you’re looking for a decidedly more relaxed start to your holiday, consider one of the Ladies Who Lunch events at Luton’s Aubrey Park. Taking place on the first Thursday of every month, expect a delicious meal as well as entertaining guest speakers.
