Highlights and running all month
1. Escape Rooms at the Yew Lodge, East Midlands airport
In what we're pretty sure is a first for a UK airport hotel, the Yew Lodge is opening two escape rooms in August. "Houdini's Last Secret" and "USS Redemption" both take 60 minutes for teams of three to six people to break out of. Both rooms open on Saturday 10th August, and are taking bookings from that Saturday already.

2. Pop-up beach at the Hilton T4, Heathrow airport
For the second summer in a row, the Hilton T4 at Heathrow airport is running its famous pop-up beach. We filmed the Hilton's this summer as one of our top 6 London beaches - check out our video above!
3. Grand opening of the Hilton Garden Inn T2 Sky Bar, Heathrow airport
The Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow T2 is a brand new hotel for August 2019, and is the only hotel connected to the central terminals at Heathrow airport. The Runway Bar on the 14th floor of the hotel opens in August and offers panoramic views over the planes taking off and landing from Britain's busiest airport.
4. Summer of Circus at Resort World, Birmingham airport
The Genting Hotel at Birmingham airport always has plenty going on. As well as its own extensive bars and restaurants, the hotel is attached to the massive Resort World boasting bars, restaurants, cinema, a casino - and, in August 2019, Summer of Circus. Fridays and Saturdays throughout August see free circus workshops, so if you've got little ones to entertain and time to spare before you fly, why not run away to the circus?

5. Film nights at the Sheraton Skyline, Heathrow
Once a month the Sheraton Skyline, Heathrow runs a film night around its central pool bar. If you're looking to start your holiday early there's few better ways than to stay at the Sheraton Skyline, and the addition of a monthly film night around the pool makes for an extra-special evening before you fly. July the hotel showed Bohemian Rhapsody, and in August they'll be putting on La La Land.
