I started my HX journey back in 2006 as a Management Information Analyst where my focus was on our insurance trading. Fast forward 14 years (where did that time go?) and I'm proud to be Associate Director of Commercial Finance with a strong, commercially-minded team behind me that truly adds value to the business.
As with everyone at HX, work is varied and rewarding. Whether we're working on contracts or acquisitions, or going through recessions or ash clouds, data is always a key component in all decision-making.
I studied Business and Finance at Brighton University, graduating in 2006. My third year was a placement year where I worked as an analyst for NACCO Materials Handling Group (who specialise in fork-lift trucks). This assured me that data and analysis was the right field for me and following a brief production planning role for a fencing manufacturer I joined Holiday Extras.
I married my wife Lucy in 2015 and then our beautiful daughter Maisie entered the world in 2017. She keeps us busy for sure, the running and triathlons definitely taking a back seat, or maybe she was the perfect excuse. I still find time for a few rounds of golf but enjoy our family time together making plenty of memories.
