I began my journey with HX with the Shortbreaks team in May 2022. Since that time it's been an incredible experience working alongside talented people, building partnerships, and leading impactful projects. Prior to joining Holiday Extras I had heard amazing things about the culture and people, and I can honestly say it has not disappointed!
The atmosphere here is electric, full of fun, connection, and a shared commitment to hard work. We always strive to go the extra mile and do the right thing for our customers. We are encouraged to be bold, pioneer new paths and to celebrate each other. I also have to mention the free pizza—I had more in my first few months at HX than in my entire career to date!
In August 2023, my role evolved and I now have the privilege of leading the fantastic HX Cover Travel Insurance Team.
Life Before HX
My love for history and storytelling led me to study History at Royal Holloway, University of London. It was an amazing experience—I felt like I was living in the history I was learning about every day in such an incredible setting.
After graduating, I was lucky enough to start my career at Saga Group, where I stayed for over a decade. I had the chance to take on a diverse range of roles, and this is where I discovered my career-long passion for people and all things related to the travel industry. I've had the opportunity to work with international cruise lines, lead teams through acquisitions, oversee membership programs, and participate in some truly incredible customer events.
Some highlights of my pre-HX career include meeting the Hairy Bikers, sipping sundowner cocktails in South Africa, and conquering the largest cruise ship slide in the world.
Life Outside HX
I've always been adventurous and love being outdoors. For many years, I was into motocross and downhill mountain biking, but now I enjoy long walks, going to the gym, and, of course, travelling for fun whenever I can.
What's Next
Looking ahead, I'm focused on working closely with our brilliant insurance team to deliver exceptional service to our customers and build the business together. I'm also open to any new adventures that come my way, both professionally and personally!
