Renaissance London Heathrow: A hotel for the truly jet set

You’d be sleeping in one of the planes if the Renaissance's London Heathrow hotel were any nearer to the airport. The joint closest hotel to terminals 1 and 3 is right beside the runway and a plane-spotter’s paradise - get one of the rooms on the south side of the hotel and you can watch the airline action to your heart’s content. You won’t hear a thing though - the Renaissance is amazingly quiet inside, thanks to the two layers of double glazing on every window.

This is one of the best Heathrow airport hotels to help you unwind before your holiday. There’s a large gym, which is fully equipped with fixed and free weights, bikes and treadmills, a sauna and steam room, plus a mirrored exercise studio which runs a daily programme of classes including yoga, salsa and zumba. This park and fly Heathrow hotel is ideal for combining your airport parking and hotel stay in one convenient booking.

Famously comfortable beds

The hotel also has a restaurant, a bar which also serves food, a gift shop selling souvenirs and travel toiletries, and a bureau de change. Rooms are cosy and traditional, with soft, luxurious bedding. The Renaissance has a large car park with 24-hour security patrols and CCTV, so you can leave your car here while you’re on holiday, and catch the Heathrow Hoppa or a free local bus from the hotel to the airport. You can also park in the airport’s Long Stay car park or book our Meet and Greet package, where you drive to the terminal and hand your car over to a driver who will park it for you.

We recommend the Renaissance Heathrow for:

Location - The Renaissance can’t be beaten for location if you’re flying from terminal 1 or 3. It’s right next to the runway - you’re five minutes from check-in in a taxi.

Delicious dining - The Market Garden Restaurant has a hot and cold breakfast buffet, as well as an a la carte breakfast menu should your favourite dish not be included. There’s a new lunch menu in the restaurant, while evening diners can choose from international dishes on the a la carte menu or a three-course buffet dinner. Lighter meals and snacks are served in Bar Eleven from noon to midnight. Or if you just want a coffee and a muffin mid-morning, there’s a Starbucks in the lobby.

Park and fly - Either park in the hotel car park and catch the bus to the airport in the morning, take your car to the Long Stay car park at the airport or book our Meet and Greet package, where your car is collected from you outside the terminal and parked for you.

A great night’s sleep - Beds at the Renaissance are so famously comfortable you can even buy the pillows for your own home. Despite the closeness of the runway, you won’t be disturbed by aeroplanes – we enjoyed a blissfully quiet night’s rest.
